Plot summary

A failed mission against Juan Venegas, the dictator of Paldonia, leaves U.S. Army Special Forces operator Mason Pettits injured and medically discharged. Years later an old teammate, Sebastian Earle, offers him lucrative private security work guarding Claire Wellington, a disgraced journalist invited to Paldonia to interview Venegas while an uprising runs against his regime. Mason accepts reluctantly, to the dismay of his wife Jenny, who wants him at home with their daughter Casey. In Paldonia, Venegas himself rides with them from the airport toward his estate. On the road, gunmen destroy the convoy. Mason fights them off and leads Claire and Venegas into the jungle.
