Plot summary
As a hurricane approaches Puerto Rico, authorities order an evacuation. Police officers Cardillo and Jess Peña go door to door to clear residents. They respond to a market fight involving Griffin, who says that two of his neighbors refuse to evacuate: one older man and a former cop. They go to the building, where Ray, the retired officer, insists on staying despite his daughter Troy's worry that his dialysis machine will fail. Cardillo and Troy visit Paul Bergkamp, another holdout, and discover that John the Baptist, a thief, is inside with a gang. The gang is trying to break into Bergkamp's secure apartment. The group flees from the thieves and takes refuge in Griffin's apartment.
