Plot summary

Cole Turner draws a large audience to his channel, Escape From Reality, where he posts photos and live video. To mark its tenth anniversary, he goes to Moscow with Erin, his girlfriend, and with his friends Dash, Samantha and Thomas, for an escape room that Dash set up with Alexei Koslov, a wealthy Russian admirer of Cole. In Moscow the group meets Alexei and his girlfriend Viktoria and spends an evening at a club, until two Russian mobsters threaten them and everyone withdraws to the mansion where Alexei lives. When the game begins, Alexei links Cole's phone to a surveillance system so the experience can be streamed live to Cole's followers, and warns the group that the game is extreme and unpredictable. Blindfolded, each player is led to a starting position.
