Plot summary
In 1988, a Soviet agent with telekinetic powers, known as Firehead, refuses an order to use those powers against protesters in Estonia and defects to the West. Two years after that, explosions strike American munitions factories, and the government holds him responsible. An elite agency intervenes, and Warren Hart, a chemist at the National Institutes of Health, is ordered to help track him down beside Melia Buchanan, a government assassin. Colonel Garland Vaughn is the one who brings Hart into the operation, pairing a scientist with an agent trained to kill. The man they are hunting is a cyborg as well as a telekinetic.
