Plot summary
Shadyside teenagers and their rivals from Sunnyvale are at Camp Nightwing in the summer of 1978. Ziggy Berman, a Shadyside camper, is caught taking money from Sheila, a Sunnyvale girl, so Sheila and her friends tie her to a tree, call her a witch and burn her arm with a lighter until the counselors Nick Goode and Kurt step in. Ziggy's older sister Cindy and Cindy's boyfriend, Tommy Slater, are also at the camp. Nurse Lane, Ruby Lane's mother, attacks Tommy in the mess hall, and police take her away.
