Plot summary
Sandra Burke and Tracey Tunstall live in Fulchester, in the north of England, and spend their time on booze, kebabs and men. Sandra leaves her fire torch burning at the steel-works where they work, the factory explodes and both are fired. Idle at home, they come across an invitation to appear as guests on a daytime chat show and leave for London, planning to drink and sleep their way to fame. On the day they arrive, the American billionaire Sean Cooley, who owns Trans Global Media, is hit on the head by a falling flower pot and is left temporarily insane. A technical glitch in his conference room switches the screen to the chat show; taken with their antics, he sends his lawyer Victor to fetch them and put them in a hotel.
