Plot summary
Callie Coleman is fifteen and tech-savvy, and her family moves whenever her father Bobby, a running back whose career has been dogged by fumbles, changes teams. He has signed with the Atlanta Falcons, which makes Callie the new kid in Atlanta again, and she supports his latest chance in the league. During a stormy night she finds a glitch in the Madden NFL 23 game that appears to give her real-world control over Bobby's play. She and her friends in the school robotics club test the idea, and Bobby suddenly performs like a superstar. Callie then quietly takes charge of his moves on the field, keeping the arrangement to herself as he draws attention and the Falcons win games, while she fits the role around high school.
