Plot summary
Nora Ephron begins her career as the mail girl at Newsweek, reports for the New York Post, and becomes a prestigious essayist at Esquire. She goes on to write and direct Hollywood movies that revitalize the romantic comedy genre. Her closest friends, among them actors and filmmakers, and the journalists who knew her set her razor-sharp wit beside accounts of her flaws. Archive footage of Ephron appears throughout, and the portrait had its premiere at the New York Film Festival.
