Plot summary
Lisa Lopes, known as Left Eye, was the rapper in TLC, the female R&B group that sold more records than any other. She decided on March 30, 2002 to record her own life on camera. Some of that footage was shot at a spiritual retreat in the Honduran jungle. Twenty-six days after she began, a car accident killed her, and her unedited tapes remained. The documentary uses those tapes, entries from her journals, home movies and career highlights, along with commentary from interviews she gave, to build the film she never finished.
