Plot summary
Hank has been seeing Patricia while his marriage to Linda comes apart. Linda then learns that her son from an earlier marriage has died of an overdose, and the death forces Hank to face the state of both relationships. If Hank does not drive her to the son, she says, she will divorce him. Patricia, Hank's lover, wants to come on the drive so she can show him how committed she is to their relationship. Caught between the two women, Hank wants to get through the situation without harm to himself, and the three of them set out on the journey together.
