Plot summary
Sent by the Celestial Arishem on the starship Domo, ten Eternals arrive on Earth in 5000 BC to wipe out the Deviants, invasive creatures that hunt the planet's populations. Once the last Deviants are destroyed in 1521, the group disagrees about how far to involve themselves with humankind, and over the following centuries they scatter and live apart, waiting for orders. Sersi and Sprite share a home in London, where Sersi works as a museum curator and dates the human Dane Whitman. The Deviant Kro attacks the two of them and Dane; Ikaris arrives to drive the creature off. Sersi, Sprite and Ikaris then travel to South Dakota to reunite with Ajak, the Eternals' leader.

- The cast and crew of Eternals, including Angelina Jolie and Richard Madden, had to be evacuated from a shooting location on the island of Fuerteventura in the Canary Islands when an explosive device, thought to be leftover armament from a Nazi base, was found there.
- Eternals was not released in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain or Oman because of its depiction of a gay couple, while cinemas in the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Lebanon and Egypt were set to show an edited version with all the love scenes missing.
- Gemma Chan had played Minn-Erva in Captain Marvel, a character who dies, and assumed she would not return to the MCU; Kevin Feige then told her Marvel wanted to "make better use" of her, and she auditioned for Sersi, one of the last actresses considered for the role.
