Erased (2012) on Netflix

Plot summary

Ben Logan, an American raising his teenaged daughter on his own, has lately moved to Belgium with Amy, the daughter he had been estranged from. His job at The Kohler Company, part of the Halgate Group, a technology corporation with operations in many countries, is to probe the company's security, testing locks and iris scanners for weaknesses. A co-worker learns that one of the firm's products has no patent, and Logan takes the finding to his boss, Derek Kohler. Then the office stands empty, and nothing anywhere shows that the Kohler Company or his job there ever existed. While he tries to establish his employment through bank records, Floyd, a colleague, puts him and Amy in his car at gunpoint.
