Plot summary
Cole served as a mercenary in the Namibian War of Independence and has just completed his ninjutsu training in Japan. He goes to the Philippines to look up Frank Landers, a friend from the war, and Frank's wife Mary Ann, who own a large piece of farmland and have been married two years. Charles Venarius, the chief executive of Venarius Industries, wants that land and has had the couple harassed again and again to make them sell it, with local henchmen doing the bullying and the coercion. The pressure on the Landers has gone on since before Cole arrived, and he steps in to stop the men Venarius has hired.

- Enter the Ninja was originally to be directed by Emmett Alston and to star Mike Stone. Early in production, Menahem Golan replaced Alston as director and Franco Nero replaced Stone, but both men stayed on, Alston as second-unit director and Stone as fight double and stunt coordinator.
- Enter the Ninja began a craze of ninja-themed Hollywood films in the early 1980s and launched the career of Sho Kosugi, who went on to appear in further ninja films and television shows during the decade.
