Plot summary
A robbery leaves a patrolman seriously injured, and two police sergeants are handed the case. Their inquiry is hurried and their methods are open to question, and two hoodlums are convicted of the crime. Years afterward, one of the sergeants picks up the trail of the men who carried out the robbery. He wants the guilty parties brought to justice, and that pursuit puts him at odds with his department and with the colleague who would rather the old mistake stayed quiet.
