Plot summary
Tom has been sheltering in a cabin in the woods for three days after losing his way, and Samantha reaches the same cabin when her car breaks down. Sam finds Jody unconscious outside the door; Jody, who robbed a convenience store with her boyfriend Kevin, cannot say how she arrived. When the three try to walk out of the woods, they keep coming back to the cabin, and each is certain they are in a different part of the United States. Nearby they find a bunker stocked with food and maps, and Sam recognizes the labels as German. Gunshots outside the cabin announce a German soldier named Hans, who speaks no English; Sam, who understands German, is the only one who can answer him.
