Plot summary
Paul Bland peddles cheap wine in a shop and considers himself a connoisseur, and his wife Mary works as a nurse and endures being groped by patients. The couple are prudes who sleep in separate twin beds. They dream of opening a restaurant, but their money is nearly gone, and the swingers parties held in their apartment building disgust them. One night a drunken swinger enters their home and attacks Mary, and Paul strikes him with a cast-iron frying pan, killing him by accident. The Blands take the dead man's cash and put the corpse in the trash compactor. When a second killing follows, they see that wealthy swingers could fund the restaurant they want.
