Plot summary
At his lawyer wife's urging, Peter Roberts has retired from racing, though he refuses to take an office job. He teaches driving lessons while he waits for an investment to open a racing school. When he learns he can no longer afford his daughter's private school tuition, he takes on his first client, a fellow American named Simon Keller, who has already looked into Roberts' finances and personal life. Keller asks him to stop at a bank so he can pay for the lesson. Keller comes out shooting, throws a bag into the car, and orders a protesting Roberts to drive. The robbery puts Roberts and Keller in the sights of the police and a criminal syndicate.
