Plot summary
Siveth, a dragon, traveled to Wallachia. King Razvan welcomed her, then exiled her when she would not share her heart after he was wounded in battle. Years later, young farmer Lukas watches raiders called The Bear, The Wolf, The Snake, and The Scorpion destroy his home and kill his family. He goes to King Razvan's city to ask for help, but the king turns him away. A mercenary named Darius offers to hunt the killers with him. A fight with rival mercenaries separates them, and a blacksmith tells Lukas that Siveth may be able to aid him. Lukas journeys into the countryside to find her.
