Plot summary

Chloe grew up in foster care after her mother, Jess, lost her to drug addiction. Jess is an American sculptor in Wales, married now to Ben Thomas, and she wants Chloe back. Jess invites her to move into their home, and Chloe declines. That night Chloe goes with her friend Danny to a house that legend connects to a witch. The pair knock twice on the door and walk away. Danny begins to experience strange occurrences. Terrified by a spirit, Chloe finally accepts Jess's offer and moves in. A molar turns up in her soup, and Jess has a nightmare about an old woman who says sorry in Polish and cuts her own throat. Their neighbor Mary Aminov was said to be a witch who comes for anyone who knocks twice on her door.
