Plot summary
Nate Merritt was raised by his mother Deb, who will not tell him who his father is. He is engaged to Trish Huddle, who wants a son by a military man, and he is unsure about enlisting. On leave from the Marines he meets Andy Forte, a gay man with a son, Travis, whose divorced mother Louise, a former actress, cares for the boy and blames Andy for her situation. Andy cannot get over a Marine who was his first love. The two meet at the house of an amateur porn director called Uncle Sam, who invited them to shoot a scene for money, and they leave horrified. When Nate helps Andy start his car, they become friends, and after learning about Nate's search for his father, the two set out together to find him.
