Plot summary
A well-known local chef is found dead in his kitchen, and Henry Ross, a chef of world class in earlier years, knew him. Henry joins Maggie Price, a homicide detective in San Francisco, on the case. Their inquiries lead toward a secret kept within a family. Meanwhile, a man in the shadows seems to be following Maggie, and the arrival of someone she loved before puts her growing bond with Henry under strain.
