Cyclops (2008) on Netflix

Plot summary

In ancient Rome, under Emperor Tiberius, a cyclops is the last survivor of a species that once fought the Roman army. Travelers who kill some of his sheep are slaughtered, and one escapes to Rome with word that a cyclops has been sighted. Tiberius gives the task of capturing the mankiller to his commander Marcus Romulus, who loses soldiers before bringing the creature back. The emperor, needing a new beast for his circus, sees the attention the cyclops draws and uses him instead of expensive lions. Defiant slaves who learn they are to become cyclops fodder flee, but a contingent led by Marcus catches them. Marcus, who is against slavery, argues with the emperor's consultant Falco, and Tiberius punishes him by sporting him as a gladiator.
