Plot summary
Stephanie Davenport is out for the evening with friends and her boyfriend, John. Her parents, Walter and Megan, are preparing to leave their small California town for a weekend vacation. Walter is the district attorney who sent brothers Ray and Bob Perkins to death row for a brutal murder. Ray and Bob escape from prison and come to the town, seeking revenge against Walter. Bob is developmentally disabled. Before reaching the Davenport house, the two terrorize and kill a psychologist who analyzed them before their trial, and kill a man they hitch a ride from, taking his car. Stephanie is due home for her ten o'clock curfew.
