Plot summary
On their 50th anniversary, the Rolling Stones recount the first two decades of their career. The documentary uses audio interviews with Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts, Ronnie Wood, Bill Wyman, and archive footage of Brian Jones. It follows their start as blues-obsessed teenagers in the early 1960s, their early success, and how the media contrasted them with the Beatles. Brian Jones's musical talent and the band's first songwriting efforts are part of the story. The film includes performance clips, news reports, and interviews, many never shown before. The interviews were conducted without cameras, and the band's words link the archive material.
