Plot summary
A masked killer is terrorizing Los Angeles, breaking into stores after hours and taking surveillance tapes. At Steve's liquor store, whose front door is boarded up, the staff, customers and Morty, a deliveryman, talk about the killer, the $500,000 reward for his capture and the ways they would deal with him. After closing, Steve asks his clerk Donny and two regulars, Jess and Mona, to stay and play cards in the upstairs apartment, hoping to keep his nephew Jimmy, who is going through drug withdrawal, occupied. The five do not know that the Convenience Store Killer has chosen the store as his next target.
