Plot summary
Cormac Dandridge returns to his small hometown to settle his late father's estate and to report on the protest there. The town wants an interstate built on the outskirts, but the people of the First Nations Reserve will not surrender land they hold sacred, and the dispute divides the village. Cormac rekindles an old romance and begins a new one, a triangle that leaves him little room when he starts looking into the recent homicides and the corruption behind the plan for the highway. The killings may be tied to a satanic cult that almost no one in town believes exists.
