Plot summary
Abby Ableman, 42, flips apartments and designs interiors while living a settled married life with Kate, a divorce lawyer, and their children. A baseball thrown by her son Jake strikes her head; at the hospital she learns she has a concussion. The days that follow leave her questioning her routine. Kate dozes off while they attempt sex. A disappointing paid encounter leads Abby to ask Justin, her employee, to set up a meeting with Gretchen, a young woman. Abby discovers she likes the escape these encounters provide and begins seeing clients each week as Eleanor. Justin's partner and girlfriend, known as The Girl, sends women to Abby for a cut, and Abby screens them at a coffee shop before allowing anyone into her loft.
