Janel Moloney

Biography

Janel Moloney is an American actress whose early work included guest roles on series including ER, Sports Night, The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr. and Murder, She Wrote. Born in Woodland Hills in 1969, she took the part of Donna Moss on The West Wing in 1999, initially billed as a guest star even though she was in every episode of the first season, then promoted to the main credits from the second. She later starred in The Leftovers from 2014 to 2017, had a role in the Showtime television movie Bang Bang You're Dead (2002), and appeared in the films Armless (2010) and Concussion (2013). Her stage work includes an Off-Broadway debut in 2007 in 100 Saints You Should Know.
