Plot summary
In a Brooklyn housing project, Strike works as a street-level dealer for Rodney Little, the local drug lord, alongside a crew of other clockers. Rodney tells Strike that Darryl Adams, another dealer, has been stealing from him, and orders Strike to kill Adams. Strike is reluctant, and asks his older brother Victor if he knows someone else who could do the job. Then a man who worked nights at a fast-food restaurant is found dead with four bullets in his body, and Victor turns himself in as the killer. Homicide detectives Rocco Klein and Larry Mazilli question him. Victor says he fired in self-defense, but Rocco does not accept the account and looks into Victor's background.

Did you know?!Facts and trivia about Clockers (1995)
Can contain spoilers, watch the movie first.
- Clockers entered production with Martin Scorsese attached to direct, after he had worked with novelist Richard Price on The Color of Money; Scorsese dropped out to make Casino, so Spike Lee took over directing and rewrote the script, while Scorsese stayed on as co-producer.
- Art Sims designed the Clockers poster, and critics and film buffs noticed it resembled Saul Bass's artwork for Otto Preminger's 1959 film Anatomy of a Murder; Sims called it a homage, but Bass considered it a rip-off.
