Plot summary
Mitch Robbins has left the city behind and manages a radio station, where his friend Phil Berquist works alongside him. His 40th birthday brings a visit from his younger brother Glen, the family's black sheep, who is staying in the house. In Curly's old cowboy hat, Mitch finds a treasure map that belonged to Lincoln Washburn, missing one corner. He and Phil learn that Lincoln, Curly's father, robbed a train in 1908 and buried a fortune in gold bullion somewhere in the desert. A convention in Las Vegas is already on the calendar, so Mitch decides to search for the gold, with Phil and Glen joining him.
