Plot summary
Cinderella hopes to open her dress shop, Dresses by Ella. After Prince Robert sees her in passing, he puts on commoner's clothes and goes looking for her. He finds her at the market selling one of her designs and buys the dress for triple the price. He invites her to a ball, promising she can meet customers from other lands. On the day of the ball, her stepmother Vivian forbids her to go and ruins her dress with ink because Ella is promised to Thomas, a vegetable merchant. The Fabulous Godmother arrives, dresses her in a gown she designed and glass shoes, turns mice into footmen, and sends her to the ball in a carriage made from a crate. Queen Tatiana offers Ella a place as her personal dressmaker and invites her to travel the world.
