Plot summary
Natalie is an architect in New York who despises romantic comedies, a dislike that began when her mother told her as a child that girls like them do not find love. Her coworkers treat her as a pushover, and her friends are Whitney and Josh. Her firm takes on a billionaire client, Blake. Riding the subway home, Natalie is attacked by a man who had appeared friendly; she fights him off, runs, and strikes a pole. She wakes in a hospital to find her life has turned into a romantic comedy.
