Plot summary
Wendy Carroll's father faces the closing of his candy store, so she and her six-year-old daughter Grace travel to the big city to earn holiday money. Wendy takes work at Wolmans, the city's largest department store, in its toy department. The store's manager, Teanna Musk, has drained the Christmas spirit from Wolmans and replaced its Santa with a male underwear model. Wendy reaches out to the old man who once held the Santa role, and Grace's faith in the holiday weakens.
