Plot summary
After three years in India studying eastern magic with the Yogis, Frank Chandler now goes by the name Chandu. His abilities include teleportation, astral projection, mesmerism, and illusions. His teacher has entrusted him with a mission to fight the evil threatening mankind. In Egypt, the megalomaniac Roxor has kidnapped Chandu's brother-in-law, Robert Regent, the inventor of a death ray whose beams reach halfway around the world. Roxor plans to use the device in his drive for world domination. He has also taken Regent's wife and children to force the inventor to reveal the ray's secrets. Chandu's sweetheart, Princess Nadji, has been kidnapped as well, leaving him to decide whom to rescue first.
