Plot summary
Victoria, who lives with anxiety, is invited by her sister Carolyn to come to Paris. Carolyn shows her the sights, then tells her about a secret rave being held that night in the Catacombs of Paris. At the entrance, Hugo, a bouncer Carolyn knows, waves the sisters past the line. Inside, Jean-Michel, the host, greets the crowd, and Victoria starts to panic. Jean-Michel leads her to a private area where Carolyn and her friends are sitting, pours her a glass of absinthe, and describes a killer who supposedly lives below: raised by a satanic cult, he feeds on people who lose their way in the tunnels. Most of the group laughs the story off. Victoria heads back toward the party on her own and cannot find the route.
