Captain Nemo (1975) on Netflix

Plot summary

In the second half of the nineteenth century, warships of several countries have been damaged at sea, and the vessels that reach port are found with huge triangular holes in their sides. The United States equips the military frigate Blue Star to find and destroy the creature responsible. Pierre Aronnax, a French expert on the deep sea, is invited to join the expedition and accepts, on the day of his wedding. After a search of more than three months the frigate finds its quarry and attacks, and is crippled. Aronnax, his servant Conseil and the whaler Ned Land go overboard and come aboard a submarine, which they first mistake for a giant dangerous animal. Its captain, Nemo, tells the three men that they will remain aboard the Nautilus forever, so that his secret stays hidden.
