Plot summary
Larry Kendall is a mining engineer who works near Moab, Utah. His unorthodox ideas about where large uranium deposits can be found have made his peers shun him, and he joins forces with Katherine Rand and her father, Dr. Andrew Rand, to search for the mineral. When an accident injures the doctor, Kendall and Katherine carry on the search for ore, aided by a Native American guide named Charlie Rivers. Neither of them knows that a man the town counts as a reputable citizen, in truth a man of low moral character, is following them with the intention of jumping their claim.
