Plot summary
On a secluded island off the Dominican Republic, Dr. Edwards and his assistants Camila and Bridgett study a man called Porter, who carries a flesh-eating virus without showing any signs of it. Porter keeps asking to see his wife, and the request is refused. In the Dominican Republic, Marcus is about to be married; his brother Josh, his friend Dobbs and Josh's girlfriend Penny rent a yacht and take him out to an island they are told is empty, for a bachelor party. A woman in the village hands Penny a charm meant to ward off evil, and Marcus is warned not to sail too far north, into restricted waters. On the island, Josh and Penny snorkel and find the sea floor strewn with decomposing carcasses.
