Plot summary
As WALL-E rides on the outside of the vessel that is taking EVE to the Axiom, he trails a hand through Saturn's rings and frees a small rock. The rock gains speed and becomes a meteor that smashes one of the Axiom's running lights, called spires. The damage is reported to AUTO, who activates SUPPLY-R, and SUPPLY-R wakes BURN-E, a repair robot with a clamp on one arm, a welding torch on the other and a single shoe that slides along a rail. BURN-E switches off the ruined spire and carries a replacement out along the track onto the hull. WALL-E's arrival makes him look up, and the spare drifts beyond his reach. He goes back for another.
