Biography

Elissa Knight is an American voice actress and a Pixar employee. Born in Santa Cruz, California, she began working on studio films, and her first major role came in Cars (2006) as Tia, one of a pair of identical twin Mazda Miata fans. She also worked on Ratatouille. In WALL-E (2008), she voiced EVE, a futuristic robot who travels to Earth in the 29th century to look for any remaining life, especially plants. Knight said she never read the WALL-E script and prepared very little. Her dialogue was recorded as a placeholder while casting looked for another actress, but the producers liked her performance and kept it in the final film. As a Pixar employee, she has voiced animated characters when needed, sometimes recording scratch tracks until a well-known actor could take over the part.
