Plot summary
Bosch lives with his son Rockit in a beach community on the New South Wales north coast, where he grows marijuana illegally. A bushfire reveals the crop to the police, who make Bosch a person of interest, so he presents the trip as a magical journey to Byron Bay. They reach the town without anywhere booked and pitch a tent on the beach, surfing through the day. Bosch meets Deb, a local woman, who points them to a motel that her mother owns.
