Martin Sacks

Martin Sacks is an Australian actor whose long television career began after a brief appearance in The Love Boat while it was shooting in the Pacific. Born in Sydney, he landed his first role on The Restless Years in 1977, which introduced him to Australian television. In the 1980s he moved to Hollywood for guest spots including thirtysomething, but he preferred Australia and returned after a few years. His best-known part was Detective P.J. Hasham on Blue Heelers, which he played for twelve years from 1993 to 2005, and during that run he had leading roles in the miniseries Do or Die and My Husband, My Killer, both from 2001. He left the show in 2005 and has also directed episodes of Blue Heelers and All Saints and the short film Crushed. Later screen work includes Underbelly in 2008, City Homicide, Rescue: Special Ops, Sea Patrol and Wentworth.
