Plot summary
Along the All-American Canal, crews of Mexican laborers known as braceros wait near the border for the permits that let them enter California legally, while others cross without papers and are set upon by bandits who rob and beat them. Mexico's Pablo Rodriguez, an agent of the Mexican PJF, and Jack Bearnes of the American Border Patrol are assigned to break up the gang. Pablo puts himself forward to go in as a bracero, and Jack follows to record the men he meets. In Mexico, Zopilote introduces Pablo to Owen Parkson, an American broker who presents himself as a rancher. Claiming the police are after him, Pablo talks Parkson into putting him on a truck of farm workers.
