Plot summary
Sarah Morris hosts a call-in radio show at her college, where students bring her their problems. One night Audrey Allen arrives at her room saying that he is everywhere, and Sarah lets her stay. On the next broadcast, Audrey phones in to tell Sarah and Dr. Kane that the Boogeyman is real; neither believes her. Sarah goes to look for Audrey because she fears Audrey may be suicidal, while Dr. Kane keeps her on the line. Sarah finds a diary among Audrey's belongings and becomes certain the Boogeyman exists. She warns Lukas, Jeremy, Ben, Lindsay and her boyfriend David, but they think she is struggling with trauma rather than a supernatural threat. Campus talk about the Boogeyman spreads as her radio show airs.
