Werner Peters
Biography
Werner Peters was a German film actor whose career spanned 1947 to 1971 and included 102 films. Born in 1918, he made his debut as the lead in Der Untertan, a film by Wolfgang Staudte that was made in the young German Democratic Republic. He then moved to West Germany, where he mostly took supporting parts in popular movies. He became known across Europe and internationally for his frequent portrayals of sinister German or Nazi characters. He also had two episodes in Blue Light, the 1966 American television espionage drama. Those episodes were later combined with two others into a film called I Deal in Danger, which came out in December 1966 and kept his role. He died in 1971.
