A change of course
Harris, who had an athletic build, went to Rome to see the 1960 Summer Olympics and to work as a stuntman on Stanley Kubrick's Spartacus. He remained in Europe as sword and sandal, Eurospy and Spaghetti Western films took off there.
A change of course
Working in Germany, Harris found the country had no stunt coordinators, so he often took on stuntman, stunt coordinator and second unit director duties alongside his acting.
Big break
Harris became a leading man in 1961 playing the title roles in Gianfranco Parolini's Goliath Against the Giants and Samson, beginning a long run of films with that director.
Behind the camera
