Plot summary
Narcotics detective Danny Gallagher was framed, discredited and jailed for it. Once released, he sets out to get even with the accuser who put him behind bars and with the person who killed his partner. The murder case he is working on as a private investigator ties into a government conspiracy and into rogue agents from a top spy agency. It also brings him in front of Rebecca, a government agent whose side is unclear. His mentor is Jimmy Murtha, a former police officer who spent his career fighting corruption.
