Plot summary
Piper Davis creates proposal events for her clients, and the approach of Valentine's Day leaves her buried in requests while an old failed romance gives her mixed feelings about the holiday. Her newest client, Jordan Freeman, wants an extravagant plan for proposing to Simon, the love of his life. Adam Taylor, who is Jordan's best friend and Simon's brother, joins the effort, and a single week remains. Because Piper likes to understand her clients closely, she pretends to be Adam's new girlfriend so she can spend time with Jordan and Simon and settle on a theme for the proposal. The act is effortless and complicated at once: their attraction is obvious, and their different working lives, planning proposals and mediating marriages, also create friction.
