Plot summary
On the day Huck Finn leaves jail, his lifelong friend Tom Sawyer is waiting for him. Tom, an underachieving cop, has never abandoned their boyhood dreams of wealth. He persuades a reluctant Huck, Joe Harper and Ben Rogers to rob a pawnshop. Their contact Muff Potter, a vagrant who drinks, believes the criminal Injun Joe hid Murrell's treasure inside it. Tom argues that robbing bad men makes them good. Tom's commander then assigns him to train Becky Thatcher, an eager rookie.
