Plot summary
Deputy Sam Evans and Chief Sandy work a murder case after Travis is beaten and run over in Colt Lake, Tennessee. Bobby Gaines arrives, saying he is with the State Special Narcotics Task Force and has come for the town's drug problem before heading on to Knoxville. Bobby is greeted as a hero, while Sam's local ties count for little. Sam is dating Izzy, the daughter of Mayor Boone, and Bobby begins dating Tammy. Bobby gets to know Jasper at a local bar, and the officers learn from Jasper that dealers killed Travis and that a large drug deal is coming. Sam and Bobby visit a gang hideout, where Dog Downer, his armed men and a woman named Destiny confront them.
